Indian Army Technical Graduate Course (TGC) 142, which will start in January 2026, is a great opportunity for those engineering graduates who want to become commissioned officers in the Indian Army. This scheme is only for male candidates who have an engineering degree and want to serve the country in a technical role.

Through this course, candidates are given full training in military skills, leadership qualities and technical knowledge, which prepares them to become a successful Army officer.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidate should be an Indian citizen

Age should be between 20 to 27 years

Must have at least 60% marks in engineering degree

Selection Process:

First the applications are screened

After that there is SSB (Services Selection Board) interview

It includes psychological tests, group tasks and personal interview

After clearing SSB, the candidates have a medical test in which their physical fitness is checked

Training: The candidates who come in the final selection are given rigorous training at Indian Military Academy (IMA) Dehradun or any other training Centre. During the training they are taught leadership, discipline and basic and advanced skills of army life.
